The recommended feed quantities stated are per animal, per day. The specified feed quantities are based on the weight of the adult dog. Please make sure your pet has fresh water at all times. The amount of food should be reduced, for example if snacks are also provided. **For a nursing dog: food should be made freely available as required, as the dog's needs will vary depending on the number of puppies and how much milk is being produced. For a pregnant dog: please note that food requirements during the final trimester will depend on the size of the breed and the number of puppies. Due to the possibility of birthing difficulties and other issues, however, you should take care to avoid over-feeding during the lactation period.
